Tour in the National Gallery and the National Portrait Gallery

The National Gallery, which is adjacent to the National Portrait Gallery, exhibits world famous paintings from different periods of time from the end of the 13th century to the beginning of the 20th century. The collection includes masterpieces by some of the greatest painters such as Monet, Da-Vinci, Sea, Van-Gogh, Degas and many more.

The National Portrait Gallery is a special art gallery housing a huge and impressive collection of portraits of historically important and famous people from the United Kingdom. Established in 1856, it was the first portrait museum of its kind. Today, this gallery has the world’s largest collection of portraits of people; among them are Henry VIII, Florence Nightingale, the Beatles and Queen Elizabeth II – all beautifully painted by talented artists. The gallery houses an incredible collection of over 10,000 portraits - photographs, paintings and sculptures - of men and women, important, famous and influential people who are connected, directly or indirectly, to the rich British history and culture.
